The story begins as a cowboy romance/action, but when the cowboy leaves Val’traz he begins to realize just how little of the world he has seen.
Val’traz
Val’traz is the Cowpoke’s hometown. A small town deep in the forest, Val’traz keeps to itself to the best of its ability, in all aspects but one - the Cowpoke’s ranch.
For some reason, the ranch has been the subject of countless attacks from bounty hunters and outlaws.
The Cowpoke asked the Crow many times about the reason until one night the Crow came home drunk muttering about something buried beneath the ranch…
The Wastes of Chatter
The Wastes of Chatter lie just outside of the Val’traz forest, and extend well past the horizon.
As the Cowpoke would phrase it, “These wastes really got a whole lotta nothin’ don’t they?”
Only one person in recorded history from Val’traz has ever dared to venture too far into the wastes, and he was never seen again.
As soon as the sun goes down all warmth is lost from the environment, and unless you have a
familiar that works well with cold, you and your animal will discover why the Wastes of Chatter
are named as such.

The Cowpoke and his raven will not be returning to Val’traz as soon as they hoped.
